Winter School Holidays Wrap-Up. Records Were Meant to Be Broken!

What an incredible winter it's been at Pixel Planet! The Winter School Holidays were our busiest yet, with hundreds of locals and visitors joining us for Virtual Reality Adventures and Epic Pixel Grid Battles. The energy throughout the holidays was fantastic, and it was wonderful to see so many families making memories together while exploring everything we have to offer.

One of the highlights of the holidays was seeing our Wall of Fame continue to grow. Scoring 3,000 points on the Pixel Grid is no easy achievement (it takes teamwork, communication and lightning-fast reactions) so every team that reaches the milestone has truly earned their place on the wall.

We crowned new Pixel Grid champions, Da Boys, who stormed to an incredible 3,508 points, finishing more than 20 points ahead of the previous champions, The Bulls. It's a phenomenal score and one that's going to take some beating!

Outside the arcade, we've also had some exciting milestones. We were thrilled to be featured in Metropol Magazine, helping introduce Pixel Planet to even more Cantabrians looking for a fun day out.

We also became a full-time sponsor of the Westpac Rescue Helicopter, supporting the incredible work of the Canterbury West Coast Air Rescue Trust. As a family-focused business, we know how important this lifesaving service is to our local community and the thousands of visitors who travel through the Hurunui region each year. We're proud to contribute to an organisation whose crews are there when people need them most, and we hope our support helps ensure they can continue providing this vital service for many years to come.

We were proud to be part of the MainPower Winter Festival, which was another outstanding success for Hanmer Springs. A huge thank you goes to the organizers, volunteers and everyone who worked so hard behind the scenes to make the festival possible. Events like Winter Festival bring our community together and showcase everything that makes Hanmer Springs such a special place to visit.

To everyone who visited us this winter, whether you were chasing a high score, riding the Cosmic Coaster, or simply stopping in for a bit of fun - thank you for your support. We're already looking forward to the next school holidays and seeing who will be the next team to earn a place on the Wall of Fame... or maybe even take the championship away from Da Boyz!
