3. What is the age limit for the attractions?

Pixel Grid: Suitable for all ages, with a minimum age of 4 years.

VR Simulators: Suitable for guests aged 5 years and over.

Children 12 and under must be actively supervised by a responsible adult or legal guardian at all times while on the premises.

The supervising adult or guardian must remain inside the venue for the duration of the visit.

Drop-offs are strictly prohibited.

Pixel Planet is an interactive entertainment venue and not a babysitting or childcare service.

5. How long do the experiences last?

• Pixel Grid – 20 minutes

• VR Cosmic Coaster – 10–12 minutes

• VR Magic Carpet – 8–10 minutes

6. Do you have parking available?

We do not have dedicated on-site parking. However, there is plenty of public parking available throughout Hanmer Springs, and our venue is within easy walking distance of most local accommodation providers.

7. Can we bring food or drinks?

Food must be consumed outside the venue. Drinks may remain in the reception area only.

Food and drinks are not permitted on or around the Pixel Grid or within the VR simulator areas.

8. Is there anything I need to know before coming?

The Pixel Grid is a fun and engaging experience for all ages, while our VR simulators are recommended for guests aged 5 years and over.

For your comfort and safety, we recommend wearing comfortable clothing, as both experiences involve movement and physical activity.As a family-friendly venue, we ask all guests to wear appropriate clothing at all times, including shirts or tops, while participating in our attractions.

Pixel Grid Footwear Requirements

For the best grip and safest experience, we recommend participating barefoot or while wearing grip socks.

Grip socks are available for purchase at reception for $4.00 per pair.

The Pixel Grid is primarily a barefoot experience to help ensure guest safety and protect the interactive floor.

Guests may wear clean, closed-toe shoes at the discretion of Pixel Planet staff, provided they are clean, dry, and free from dirt, stones, or other debris.

Standard socks may be worn at the participant's own risk, as they may increase the risk of slipping.

All floors and equipment are cleaned and maintained regularly throughout each day.

9. Is booking required?

Walk-ins are always welcome, subject to availability.

However, we recommend booking in advance to secure your preferred time, particularly during weekends, school holidays, and wet weather.

Payment is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation.

10. How far in advance can I book?

To help us manage peak demand and provide the best possible experience, bookings during busy periods must be made at least one hour in advance.

For example, bookings for 1:00pm close at 12:00pm.

11. What type of games are available on the VR simulators?

Our VR simulators offer exciting adventures for the whole family.

Soar above cityscapes as a daring eagle, pilot a spaceship through acrobatic flights, twist and turn on thrilling rollercoasters, battle zombies, pirates, and gigantic alien creatures, or enjoy magical adventures designed especially for younger players.

From heart-pounding action to family-friendly rides, there's something for everyone.

12. Can I participate after drinking alcohol?

Pixel Planet is a family entertainment venue, and guests must be able to participate safely.

Anyone who appears to be impaired by alcohol or drugs may be refused entry or participation at the discretion of Pixel Planet staff if their condition could affect their own safety, the safety of others, or the enjoyment of other guests.
