Captain Matt and Mission Specialist Rebecca met while on the windy coastline of Wellington. After several years together they were reassigned and beamed down to the South Island in late October 2025. Their primary objective; increase the FUN in Hanmer Springs! Their preliminary scouting mission brought them to the Village Shopping Centre. Keys were acquired and the team set about landing their Virtual Reality Simulators. Their biggest craft known as the X-Ship required local heroes Craig and Katrina from the Pines Holiday Park, Tony from RJ Stirling and longtime Star Cadet Andy Thornycroft to roll our machines into place. Before testing of the VR Equipment could begin, it was up to Captain Matt and Mission Specialist Rebecca to connect the Pixel Grid. 420 tiles of multicoloured madness! Braden, Issaac and Mark Minson along with Andy, Rob, Brody and the team from Alpine Electrical engaged their skills to bring the Pixel Grid roaring to LIFE! Once our equipment was installed, power convertors were engaged and Pixel Planet began receiving its first cadets just before Christmas 2025.
